If your venue has its own built-in sound system, you will need to run the PA specification by your preferred band to ensure that everything is in working order. The band’s technical specifications may also be requested by your venue to verify suitability.

You will need to determine whether the band is required to use the venue’s own PA or if this is purely optional. If this is the case, the venue might also ask you to hire their own in-house sound engineer with experience working with the system to make sure everything runs smoothly—and they might even charge you for doing so.
